21st Century Conveyancing for 21st Century Clients
This conference is not about WHAT conveyancing should look like – our 2016 White Paper specified what was needed to modernise the conveyancing process and create a better and less stressful environment for both clients and conveyancers.
Today is about HOW we should be undertaking modern day conveyancing!
Delegates will experience a unique insight into the practical future of UK conveyancing.
The Government will kick start the conference, detailing the feedback on their research into conveyancing, their plans for the future and what that means for our industry.
HM Land Registry have been busy researching and formulating their vision of Digital conveyancing in 2030. Whilst their views of the future may be unsettling and a threat to every conveyancing lawyer, there is no way of ignoring the technological advances which could make conveyancing a process with minimal input from conveyancers!
Our colleagues from Property Exchange Australia will demonstrate the end to end digital conveyancing system currently operating in Australia and how conveyancers there have adapted to their “brave new world of conveyancing”.
Scotland is already ahead of us in some respects, having introduced e-signatures some time ago. Professor Stewart Brymer will tell us how the Law Society of Scotland introduced secure digital signatures. CA Operations Director, Lloyd Davies, will show us how Proof of Identity is integral to the “Digital Deed” process in England and Wales.
Our Regulators are of course very interested in how conveyancing will evolve and Stephen Ward from the CLC will explore the regulators view on all things digital.
Our Conference Sponsors Info Track will demonstrate how 21st Century Conveyancing does not have to be difficult and that many of the answers are already available to us.
Our CA Director of Delivery, Beth Rudolf, will take us through a virtual update on our White Paper initiatives and the progress that has been made this year and what the future holds for the Association and the conveyancing industry.
