Young at Heart: Is the protection industry ready to come of age?

Session One: The "M" Word

To shake things up a bit we've invited a guest chair for this session. Freelance journalist and young money expert, Iona Bain will be looking at how to make protection more relevant and engaging for younger people. It's time to look at what millennials want and need from the protection industry.

We’ll also be looking at opportunities for younger people to work within the sector.

Speakers and panellists include: Hema Tank from The London Institute of Banking & Finance, James Daley from Fairer Finance,  Helen White from the CII and Rob May from Risk Assured.

Session Two: Hot Topics: Preparing, Promoting and Protecting the Protection Industry

Chaired by Jo Miller this session will consider the hottest issues facing protection in 2018. She'll be looking at changes to support for mortgage interest and mistakes for protection advisers to avoid.

Speakers and panellists include: Luke Ashworth from Protectiongeek.co.uk, Tony Mudd from SJP, Mark Graves from Sesame Bankhall Group, Johnny Timpson from Scottish Widows, Roshani Hewa from the ABI, Ian Betley from DST and Justin Harper from LV=.

Session Three: Simplexity

In this session, Roger Edwards, will compare and contrast simple and complex products and processes in the protection market and examine how technology can make it easy for customers.
