House The last few years has seen equity release lenders significantly improve the range and type of products they offer to customers.

These innovations combined with reduced interest rates are increasing the flexibility of equity release plans and making equity release a much more attractive proposition for customers that might not have previously considered it.

Latest products offering greater flexibility include voluntary repayments, interest-only, 8 year fixed early repayment charges & retirement mortgages. All these options are providing a solution to many problems, but significantly those with residential mortgages where lenders require immediate payment.

Better than ever interest rates

Equity Release lenders are all vying for position & with constant innovations in product types, we’ve seen interest rates hit an all time low in 2015. With new lenders entering the market we could be in for further innovation during the 2nd half of 2015.

These reduced rates are helping to attract more and more customers, who would not previously have thought of equity release a viable option. Again, these maybe clients looking to redeem mortgages due for repayment over the next few years.

Stonehaven Equity Release Rebrand to ‘Retirement Advantage’
Further evidence of the progress and changes within the equity release industry has been witnessed recently after Stonehaven rebranded its name to ‘Retirement Advantage’.
With effect from 26th May 2015, all Stonehaven’s equity release plans will come under the umbrella of Retirement Advantage.
