Smartphone Advice Revolution

07 February 2011

Fee only IFA Need An Adviser.com has confirmed expansion plans for its online and telephone based financial advice services by launching a brand new stand alone "focused advice" website every 2 weeks for the next 2 years, with a target of up to 100 separate specialised advice websites within 4 years. The first of these www.pensiontransferadvice.com was launched today with others focusing on other specific advice areas to follow. Ashley Clark, Managing Director and co-founder of Need An Adviser said: "With RDR on its way, competition not just for survival but for expansion into new markets will be fierce. As a small family firm, having always offered RDR compliant advice, we recognise we must still develop further not just to meet the needs of clients today but to take a greater share of new and future markets as clients shopping habits change as well as the regulatory playing field also changing." Clark confirmed that the firm owns in excess of 400 domain names, each one being search engine optimisation friendly and covering the whole spectrum of finance and tax services. Clark claims:"Our aim is to dominate totally the 'natural search' online advisory market within just a few years." Smartphone and Tablet PC Friendly Each new website is also available in a fast download mobile friendly version with smartphone and tablet PC automatically detected and directed to the mobile version of the site with the option of reverting to the normal desktop view if users wish. Clark said:"Smartphone, tablet PCs and cloud computing are the future, Need An Adviser is already part of and shaping that future with fast download smartphone use today, cloud computing financial applications (apps) already available to retainer clients now and iphone and blackberry apps to follow later this year as more websites come on stream." It is understood that both the main 6,000 page Need An Adviser.com client portal and the intermediary only AdvisersUnited.com service already have BETA mobile versions live now. Referral and Introducer Partners Still Needed Clark confirmed that fellow adviser firms are still very much part of this expansion plan with his Advisers United.com lobbying and referral network still welcoming new intermediary partners. "Increasing our online presence fifty fold over the next few years will help counter the enormous online marketing expansion that we expect from Bankassurers and Non-Advised Sales operations as they too adapt to a the RDR World. Strategic alliances are taking place almost every day and all intermediaries must take action. Our expanding service offering will mean more opportunities for us to outsource clients to fellow advisers in other geographical locations as well as advisers who opt for restricted advice or those that exit the industry entirely to refer their clients to a trusted source and still get paid."
