Equifinance appoint Des Styles as Business Development Consultant

24 May 2016

Equifinance, the specialist second charge mortgage lender, has appointed Des Styles as a Business Development Consultant. Based in Manchester, Des will focus on The Midlands, North and North West of England and Wales.

Des has worked in senior roles in financial services for over 35 years, many of which have covered the second charge mortgage market. During this time his previous roles have included being Board Director with Associates Capital Corp and Future Mortgages, Head of Operations for Citifinancial Europe and working with master broker Magic Loans.

Des will apply his extensive knowledge of the second charge industry to develop and maintain relationships with existing brokers as well as setting-up agencies with new brokers. He will also assist the senior team with Product Development and Loan Processing as the business grows.

Equifinance cater for particular niches within the second charge market by striving to assist customers who have experienced financial difficulties in the past and provide access to products that those customers might otherwise be excluded from.

Tony Marshall, managing director at Equifinance, said: “Des will be a real asset to the development team and such a key appointment demonstrates our commitment to the second charge market. He has proven ability to quickly build good working relationships. He is ideally located to serve the high-concentration of brokers in the North-West and Yorkshire in particular.”

Des Styles commented: “It’s good to be involved with such a dynamic team at Equifinance and to be generating new business for a company so keen to grow. I believe my expertise in second charge mortgages, processes and products will deliver new opportunities in the post-MCD environment. My goal is to work quickly and effectively to develop increased distribution to provide controlled growth in Equifinance business volumes.”
