Conveyancing Association members figure heavily at British Chambers of Commerce National Awards

28 November 2016

Three members of the Conveyancing Association (CA), the leading trade body for the conveyancing industry, have figured heavily at the British Chambers of Commerce National Awards 2016.

The Awards ceremony took place on the 24th November at the Brewery in London and they highlighted and rewarded businesses from across the UK, who went through a rigorous judging process to be crowned national winners.

Two CA member firms were up for National Awards. Convey Law won the Commitment to People Development Award on the night, while Shakespeare Martineau were shortlisted for the Excellence in Customer Service Award, having won in the East Midlands region.

CA Affiliate Member, Groundsure, also triumphed in the Best Use of Technology Award category.

It crowns a highly successful year for the Association and its members, who will be debating their recently-published White Paper, ‘Modernising the Home Moving Process’ at the Annual Conference on Thursday 1st December at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea.

Lloyd Davies, Operations Director at The Conveyancing Association and Managing Director of Convey Law, said:

“These award wins at the British Chambers of Commerce National Awards are a huge accolade for the individual member firms but also the Conveyancing Association as a whole. It shows that we have members who are not just leading firms within the conveyancing industry but right across every sector and across the entire country. In terms of the Convey Law award for our Commitment to People Development, a big part of our success can be put down to the Conveyancing Academy, which provides our online training facility for employees and played a major part in our submissions. A huge congratulations also goes to CA Affiliate members, Groundsure, who play a major role in the Association.”

The full version of the CA’s White Paper is available to download from the CA’s website on its Campaigns page: www.conveyancingassociation.org.uk/campaigns/modernising-the-home-moving-process-white-paper/

A representative from each of the top 200 conveyancing firms in the UK has been invited to attend the CA conference free of charge. At present, over 220 delegates have signed up to attend the conference and 170 attending the dinner – major industry stakeholders will be represented and currently the delegates come from over 100 law firms.

Other stakeholders such as estate agents, mortgage advisers or lenders are also invited to attend both the conference and dinner by booking tickets through the CA conference website at: www.conveyancingassociation.org.uk/annual-conference
