Rugby legend Sir Clive Woodward OBE to bring his 'winning' ways to FSE London

17 August 2015

Front Events, organisers of the Financial Services Expo show for financial advisers, has today (18th August 2015) announced that Rugby World Cup-winning Head Coach, Sir Clive Woodward OBE, will be delivering the key note address to delegates on the second day of the exhibition, Thursday 17th September.

Woodward, who in a illustrious rugby career played and subsequently coached both England and the British & Irish Lions, will be offering FSE delegates the benefits of his knowledge and insight on issues affecting all those in business such as management, leadership, teamwork, excellence, organisation, motivation, performance and innovation.

Author of seminal book, ‘Winning’, which provides a behind the scenes look at how the Rugby World Cup was won in 2003, Sir Clive has also been Director of Football at Southampton FC, Director of Sport at Team GB through the Olympic Games in Beijing, Vancouver and London, and is currently Chief Executive of Captured and also has a role on the International Olympic Committee’s Entourage Commission supporting athlete’s and coaches’ development.

Woodward is also a regular face across media and broadcasting, writing for The Daily Mail’s sports team and working with both Sky Sports and the BBC across their rugby union coverage.

FSE London is once again being held at Old Billingsgate in the heart of London’s Square Mile on the 16th and 17th September. It will not only feature one of the greatest sport coaches and managers in the modern era, Sir Clive Woodward OBE, but it will offer a vast range of speakers and presentations providing insight on key mortgage and financial market issues.

The expo will feature two seminar theatres – one covering the mortgage market and featuring two speakers from the Financial Conduct Authority as well as leading economist Stefano Silvestrin of Nationwide and a look at the effects of technology on the market. The second theatre will cover a variety of topic such as retirement planning, protection, buy to let and fraud – the full line-up of which will be announced next week.

All presentations at FSE London, put together by the Association of Mortgage Intermediaries (AMI) and media partners Financial Reporter, will be CII-accredited and delegates can earn CPD hours.

FSE London will also offer delegates access to a range of lenders, providers and distributors actively looking to build relationships with the adviser community. Over 70 exhibitors will appear including lenders such as Accord, Lloyds Banking Group, Halifax Intermediaries, Santander for Intermediaries, Skipton Building Society, Virgin Money, and many more.

James Prosser, Director of Front Events, commented:

“In the week that the Rugby World Cup begins at Twickenham it seems only fitting that we have one of rugby union’s greatest coaches, Sir Clive Woodward OBE, delivering our key note address on the second day. FSE London is not just about giving delegates the most sophisticated sector-specific information and support to help their advisory businesses, it is also about inspiring and motivating them to be the best that they can be. This is why we have asked Sir Clive to talk about what it takes to win and achieve, how this can be done, how to get the most out of you and your staff, and much more.

“We anticipate delegates leaving Sir Clive’s presentation energised and enthused about the coming challenges ahead and how they can tackle them. FSE London recognises that we often need to look outside our market to see the way ahead, and this session will offer an outsiders’ perspective on how we can get better and the leadership traits we need to adopt to take those next business steps.

“It is incredibly exciting to add Sir Clive to the roster of seminar speakers at FSE London and when added to our exhibitors and the other sessions taking place, we have no doubts this is the must-attend exhibition for all advisers this autumn. We would urge all those who wish to attend to register immediately as you will also be entered into a prize draw to win two tickets to England’s Rugby World Cup warm-up match with Ireland on the 5th September at Twickenham. Don’t miss out – sign-up today.”
