Shawbrook announces promotion of a new Regional Development Manager

11 November 2015

Shawbrook Bank today has the pleasure of announcing the promotion of Steve Matthews to the role of Regional Development Manager for Kent and London.

Steve has been a significant driver of Shawbrook’s growth in the region since his appointment as a Business Development Manager in January 2014, nurturing key stakeholder relationships and demonstrating time and again a genuine talent for generating new business leads.

With over a decade of experience as a packager and then a Business Development Manager, the Bank is confident that Steve possesses the necessary expertise to grow Shawbrook’s reach in one of the most active investment regions in the country.

Steve had the following to say:

“I’m extremely grateful for the faith placed in me by the Bank and cannot wait to get started in my new role as a Regional Development Manager.

Whilst incorporating many of the elements of my previous role, I’m also excited to be more heavily involved with strategic planning for Kent and London. Shawbrook never stands still as evidenced by our successful move into regulated bridging mortgages recently, along with the new RI0 product for simple residential security, and there are so many other opportunities to grow throughout 2016 and beyond.”

Emma Cox, Head of Sales for Shawbrook Commercial commented:

“Since Steve joined us at the start of 2014 he has worked extremely hard to create and maintain a successful region, during a period of immense growth across our Commercial Mortgages product range. Due to his tenacity and commitment, Steve has taken ownership of his own regional strategy over the last six to nine months.

This is just reward for Steve’s commitment to Shawbrook and we’re certain that this promotion will only enhance the service he provides to existing, as well as prospective Shawbrook broker partners.”
