The Right Mortgage & Protection Network has today (6th July 2026) announced the appointment of Rebecca Egerton as Head of The Right Academy.

The Right Academy provides firms with a structured route in order to bring new advisers into the profession. It includes induction training, development support, supervision, masterclasses and ongoing training towards Competent Adviser Status (CAS).

Last month The Right Academy announced it has already developed 35 trainee advisers since its launch earlier this year, with a target of appointing 100 trainee advisers by the end of 2026.

In her new role, Rebeccas will oversee, run and develop The Right Academy, being responsible for the co-ordination of the training and development programme for non-CAS advisers within the network.

Rebecca moves into the role from her previous position as Supervision & Development Manager with The Right Mortgage, where she worked across both the main network and its subsidiary, The Later Life Lending Network. She joined the business in October 2022.

She will report into Jack Norrey, Compliance Director at The Right Mortgage & Protection Network.

Ben Allen, Managing Director of The Right Mortgage & Protection Network, said:

“The Right Academy is a major investment in the future of the advice profession, so it is vital we have the right leadership in place to help it develop successfully. Rebecca brings first-hand experience, strong supervision and development knowledge, and a deep understanding of how to support people as they build their confidence and capability. She has already made a strong contribution across the business, and this appointment reflects both her skills and the importance we place on The Right Academy.

“We have been clear that the industry needs to do more to develop new advisers, not simply recruit from the same existing pool. The Right Academy gives firms a practical and supported way to do that, and Rebecca will play a central role in helping more people enter the profession and reach the standards required to succeed.”

Rebecca Egerton, Head of The Right Academy, commented:

“I am very pleased to be taking on this role at such an important time for The Right Academy and for the wider profession. My own route into financial services was not a straight line, and that is one of the reasons I feel so strongly about creating clear and supported routes for people within our industry. There is so much talent available, but people need the right structure, training and support if they are going to build lasting careers. The Academy is not just about helping individuals achieve CAS. It is about helping our member firms develop the right staff, providing them with confidence, and as a result, creating adviser businesses that are stronger in the long term.”
