25 Jun 2019 Absolutely on eof the best now, after being one of the worst. You can speak to an underwriter who will listen and agree a case that is slightly outside of criteria, if you can justify it.

14 Jun 2017 Can't believe people would slate Accord now. Best lender out there at the minute! Underwriters ring you to thank you for the case. BDMs great. Proc fees paid on funds release. What's not to like. They'll probably go rubbish again at some point though now I've said this!

16 Apr 2016 Absolutely awful. The pits. Dreadful. Unusable. Yet according to this page, there are 10 likes and it's the most liked. But those were 10 years ago..... no-one has said a kind word about them since 2007.

3 Jun 2015 Nightmare experience on two mortgages discussed in detail with BDM before submitting then goalposts keep moving and affordability changes a bad joke. Wasted hours of my time with wrong information. Threatened to sue them for wasting my time before they came to some compromise.
17 Mar 2015 Applied for additional borrowing with Accord for a well paid, well financed client. Agreed it was all ok for amount requested on initial review by the additional lending team. Then when keyed into Accord's internal AIP system it dropped the amount by over a half - and on manual appeal, and therefore manual calculation, they said they couldn't have any at all! There final response was "There looks to have been a calculation system issue" - she even told me that they didn't really understand why their different systems were giving such different answers. Avoid, avoid, avoid! (Although this was additional borrowing, she said that it was the same affordability calculators/calculations as new borrowing) I am a bit sick of hearing it's "underwriter's discretion" on whether it's affordable. How does one advise on the whims of underwriters when they can be so very different to published affordability criteria?

30 Oct 2013 I know what others say but my experience of Accord has been very positive indeed. I think it depends on the individuals you deal with.
1 Aug 2013 Accord nearly lead to my first complaint, and me earning nothing and having to reimburse the client for £500 (plus them losing their purchase). Rest assured I wished I have never ever done the case and I will never make that mistake again.
3 Jun 2013 we frankly do not recommend at present as their underwriting is atrocious. Whats the point of having market leading rates if you take 3 weeks to look at anything and most they do look at is declined.

7 May 2013 MATS system is never up to date. Get email saying one thing and MATS uptdate saying another. Processing time terrible.Told offer had been issued 8 days ago. not yet received. Their poor service reflects on me and I don't like it. Do they subscribe to TCF? I cannot accept lenders tainting my reputation. Will not use again unless they have a sinificantly suoerior product, which is unlikely.
4 Apr 2012 They are indeed a disgrace. Much dearer than YBS and Chelsea. Their affordability calculator is unreliable and their service is poor.
22 Aug 2007 Good products and good service, not as good as they were. Used to see BDM frequently, he left never seen another one.
13 Mar 2007 Excellent for speed and their 5 and 10 yr fixes at present are fantastic compared to rest of market. I had a complicated case offered within 5 days of submission - it doesn't get much better than that.
20 Nov 2006 Accord are superb especially for anyone sourcing prime or credit repair for N ireland clients. BDM is excellent. I would not look past them for speed of completion. Offer is always out within 10 days. I have even had 2 completions within 3 weeks from application!
21 Sep 2006 Excellent online facilities. Very smooth & slick operation with regular updates on progres of case. Not only that but they allow access to client information post completion!!

21 Aug 2006 Tried Accord to re-broke BM. Not in the same laegue- IT cumbersome they are hard to deal with. Use only where necessary

27 Mar 2006 We have recently used Accord, everything was completed on-line. We received daily updates, and an offer within a week. This case was full status, and a full valuation was also carried out. We were very impressed.
