iPipeline’s SolutionBuilder® Accelerates the Selling of Protection for Mortgage Brokers and Estate Agents

16 May 2018

iPipeline® – a leading provider of next-generation solutions and services to the life and pensions market – today announced a number of mortgage brokers and Estate Agents have adopted their protection modelling and sourcing solution, SolutionBuilder, to accelerate the selling of protection alongside mortgages.

Knight Frank, Just Mortgages (the financial advisory business of Spicerhaart), Alexander Hall, Andrews and John Charcol have introduced SolutionBuilder to their advisers to offer protection with ease alongside the mortgage sourcing process. SolutionBuilder helps demonstrate the need for protection from both a risk and affordability aspect, helping ensure more clients understand the need for and to take out life, critical illness and income protection cover.

With several integrations already in place, the mortgage brokers and estate agents will access SolutionBuilder via Intelligent Office, 360 LifeCycle or Openwork’s CRM OWS – allowing a streamlined process and secure, ease of access to client and quote data.

SolutionBuilder is a client-centric, research, shaping, quote and apply solution that uniquely offers one screen enabling advisers to instantly map budget, costs and benefits to their clients as well as review a mix of multi-benefit and single-benefit solutions.

Paul Shearman, Mortgage Proposition Director, Openwork, said “Whether an adviser is a dedicated protection specialist or combined mortgage and protection adviser, the ability to quickly and easily view multi-benefit solutions is key in the modern age when competing against aggregator websites. With the introduction of SolutionBuilder to Just Mortgages and the wider Openwork Network, we continue to push forward with our mortgage proposition plans which in turn will help towards increasing our protection business as well as the quality and range of solutions our advisers can offer their clients.”

Paul Yates, Product Strategy Director, iPipeline added “I am pleased to welcome a range of great businesses on board. Not only will they benefit from saving time when sourcing protection via SolutionBuilder, but the capability will also enable them to better map a full package of protection products to their clients’ needs and budget utilising the hundreds of indicative quotes instantly displayed on one screen.”

“The average premium across protection via our services is currently £44. Clients are often unaware of how affordable such a critical component as protection can be. Initiating the conversation and focusing on each client’s needs and budget is what our technology enables advisers to do – in as efficient a way as possible.”
