Magellan Homeloans appoints new Regional Accounts Manager Team

12 September 2018

Magellan Homeloans, the specialist mortgage lender, has taken another step in its continuing drive for best-in-class service and created a new team of Regional Account Managers (RAMs). The RAMs will have responsibility for providing a single point of contact for intermediaries as well as having the knowledge and flexibility to discuss applications on a one-to-one basis.

Each RAM will partner and work closely with a designated Regional Sales Manager (RSM), enhancing the service provided to both existing and new Magellan intermediaries across each of its regions. The aim is to support Brokers and Packagers throughout the application process: improving the speed to offer by providing clarity where required, ensuring all required documentation is submitted only once and maintaining regular communication on each case.

The new team is based across Magellan’s two sites. Sarah Bennett, responsible for leading the team, plus Sam Nasim and Susan Williams are based at the head office in Surrey, while Nick Ashton, Richard Murphy and Sunny Dhanda are based in the recently opened Birmingham office.

Simon Read, Managing Director explains: “I’m delighted to welcome Nick, Sunny and Richard to the Magellan team and see Sarah, Sam and Susan move across to form this exciting new team. Their roles are fundamental in helping us reach our goal of being one of the go-to lenders in our markets. They are the linchpin between our customers and our internal teams, ensuring each gets the necessary information they need to progress cases in the least time possible and at the highest quality.”

With nearly 60 years’ experience across mortgages and Financial Services between them, their extensive know-how covers both residential and Buy-to-Let sectors.

While three of the team are internal appointments, Nick, Richard and Sunny move in-house from roles including mortgage brokering, senior account management and mortgage operations.

Simon continues, “The extensive range and depth of experience our RAMs bring to the table gives them valuable insight in understanding the challenges and demands Brokers face. This knowledge and expertise, coupled with our manual underwriting approach, ensures we continue to enhance our personal, bespoke service on each and every case. We’re already getting some brilliant feedback from intermediaries on our service and the creation of this new team will take it from strength to strength.”
