Buckinghamshire Building Society announces departure of CEO Andrew Craddock and appoints Gerard O’Keeffe as new CEO

At the end of November after 4 years at the helm, Buckinghamshire Building Society’s Chief Executive Andrew Craddock has announced he will be joining the Darlington Building Society as Chief Executive. Subject to regulatory approval, Gerard O’Keeffe will become the new CEO of Buckinghamshire Building Society.

Robin Bailey, Chairman of the Buckinghamshire Building Society comments “Andrew has been a remarkable leader, developing the Bucks into a modern, successful and financially secure business and at the same time keeping our mutual ethos of putting our members at the forefront of what we do”. “We are extremely grateful for his efforts and the board and I wish Andrew all the best in his new role at the Darlington.”

Robin continues “We are delighted to have Gerard O’Keeffe joining us. He has over 30 years experience in financial services including 16 years at AIB in the UK in various positions, latterly as Head of Allied Irish Banks (GB), which included the retail, commercial and corporate banks. “Gerard is joining us at an exciting time for the Society. We believe he will bring a new perspective to our business, and with his wealth of experience he and the team will take the Society to the next phase of its growth.”
