Tenet's talent recognised at regional finance awards

01 March 2019

Two of Tenet’s employees topped the honours at the inaugural Yorkshire Financial Awards 2019, developed to celebrate the achievements and successes of the region’s financial services industry.

Technical services and research consultant, Kate Quarmby, was winner of the Rising Star category and trainee technical services and research consultant, Bryony Morris, was awarded Trainee of the Year, at a ceremony which took place on 21st February at New Dock Hall in Leeds.

Kate and Bryony both joined Tenet at an entry administrative level and were supported to progress to skilled technical roles within Tenet’s technical services and research department. Kate achieved her diploma in regulated financial planning in November 2018 and Bryony is undertaking a Financial Services Administrator Level 3 and RO1 apprenticeship and is working to complete her diploma. Both of them have ambitions to become chartered financial planners.

Tenet’s group finance director, Keely Craig, comments:

“The challenge of bringing in new blood remains a significant issue for the financial services industry but we are demonstrating that with the right support, talent can be home grown. We are very proud of Kate and Bryony and they are shining examples of how far you can progress with the right mindset. At Tenet, we are great advocates of both apprenticeships and supporting our staff to progress with their qualifications.”

Alex Gray, company director at Barker Brooks Communications, the event organiser, comments:

"Winning two awards is an incredible achievement. Bryony Morris winning Trainee of the Year and Kate Quarmby winning Rising Star is a testament to their individual hard work as well as the development in people supported by Tenet Group"

Tenet also picked up another regional recognition this week, having been ranked 46th in the ‘The Best Companies Top 75 in Yorkshire and Humber’. This identifies organisations that are leading the field in creating engaging and exciting workplaces, utilising the independent Best Companies b-Heard Survey.
