Easter ‘Signals’ egg appeal at Leek United...

Leek United is urging customers to ‘shell out’ this Easter to help disadvantaged youngsters across North Staffordshire and Cheshire.
The Society’s Cheadle and Newcastle Branch teams need chocolate donations in aid of Signal Radio’s ‘Help A Signal Child’ Easter Egg Appeal.
For the next fortnight, each Branch will be an official ‘drop-off’ point for sweet treats – which will then be handed out to children who would otherwise not receive an egg at Easter.
Lynne Ransome, Leek United’s Cheadle Branch Manager, said: “We’re hoping that customers and local businesses alike can donate as many Easter eggs as possible, to make the appeal huge success.”
Newcastle Branch manager Lisa Worth added: “Our customers always respond to charity appeals with amazing generosity, and we expect that this will be no egg-ception!”
The Society’s Branches in High Street, Cheadle, and Ironmarket, Newcastle will be taking Easter egg donations until Monday 15 April, when all eggs collected will then be handed over to Signal Radio for distribution.
Signal’s Senior Content Controller, Simon Monk said: “We're absolutely delighted that Leek United Building Society branches in Cheadle and Newcastle are taking part in this year’s Easter Egg Appeal with Holdcroft Heating.
“They've made it really easy for our listeners to get involved; everyone knows Leek United in each town, and it will help to ensure that between us, no child in the area will feel left out this Easter.”
