Medical Detection Dogs get a boost from Buckinghamshire Building Society

14 May 2019

Buckinghamshire Building Society’s charitable foundation which is administered by the Heart of Bucks, donates every year to a charity chosen by its members. This year the Society’s members chose Medical Detection Dogs. Their Ambassador, Dr Geoffrey Farrer-Brown, was presented with a cheque for £7000 at the Society’s AGM on Thursday 25th April.

“I am delighted that our members have voted for the funds from our charitable foundation to go to Medical Detection Dogs this year said Gerard O’Keeffe, CEO at Buckinghamshire Building Society. The work they do is both fascinating and life-changing and provides a much needed support function for people with certain health problems, enabling them to have confidence as they go about their daily lives”.

Dr Geoffrey Farrer Brown, MDD ambassador said “This money will be put to great use at the charity, helping to create more life saving Medical Alert Assistance Dogs for people living with complex, life threatening conditions.”
