Just Mortgages appoints three new sales directors

Just Mortgages has appointed three new divisional sales directors to support the business’ continued growth.
Peter Kendall, Mike Peet and Tony Richards, will be responsible for more than 30 mortgage and protection advisers across the Just Mortgages group. They will support and advise their teams, helping them to achieve their individual goals by identifying leads, increasing cross-sales and developing and reviewing their training needs.
Peter, 39, has 17 years’ experience in financial services and joined Just Mortgages in 2017 as regional compliance manager. In his new role, he will be based in Derby and cover Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire and Lincolnshire and says that after working in risk for the past two years he is looking forward to getting back to his passion – managing and developing a sales team.
“I want to help our region to become the most successful and highly respected team in the company,” said Pete. “My biggest passion is developing people to enhance their performance, support their career goals and deliver on their aspirations.”
The father-of-two says that after working in retail banking for many years, he wanted to make the move across to a brokerage and Just Mortgages stood apart in terms of company culture.

Mike started his career at Countrywide where he was a mortgage consultant for 10 years before being promoted to sale manager in 2017. The 35-year-old says that after having worked for the same company for 12 years, it felt like natural progression to ‘spread his wings’ and take the skills and experience he had gained into an independent company.
“I thrive on developing people and ensuring clients get a good outcome every time. Coming into the business I am looking to bring this passion and help each of the advisers I work with reach their personal goals.”
Mike, who will be based in Bedford and manage nine advisers across the south midlands, says he was attracted to Just Mortgages’ strong culture of training and development.
“There is constant development offered on all sorts off areas, increasing protection skills and social media to name just two. They also support Advisers who are considering a step into management with a bespoke development programme.”
Tony has more than 20 years’ experience in the industry and joined Just Mortgages as a consultant in 2003. Promotion has been a goal for him for around three years and says Just Mortgages have been hugely supportive in helping him reach that goal.
“Just Mortgages has been fantastic. A few years back, they supported me with management training, and my boss at the time - John Doughty - was incredibly supportive. He let me get more involved in running the team for the last few years, more than you would normally expect.”
Tony, 48, who will be DSD for the South West, says that having been a consultant for so long, he is in the perfect position to develop a team of his own. “I have really enjoyed being a consultant, but feel it is time for me to move into management and impart my experience and knowledge onto the next generation of consultants.”
