Sort Group’s charity committee sets bigger fundraising target for The Mental Health Foundation charity

14 May 2021

Sort Group: SortRefer, Sort Move and Sort Legal – are all working together to raise money for The Mental Health Foundation this year. Through their hard work and efforts, they have now revised their fundraising target from £1000 to £3000, after completing 80% of their original goal in just 4 months.

By the majority, the Group chose The Mental Health Foundation charity because of the mental health issues that have been raised from the implications of COVID – in particular, the raising of mental health issues among intermediaries and conveyancers. Hence, this charity of choice was settled to help raise awareness.

Since starting the charity committee in February this year, the team have implemented fun ways of raising money internally and externally with virtual quiz nights, virtual yoga sessions, dress down days, cute pet competitions and more.

The biggest challenge for their employees yet, was set back in March for their ‘Take Action Get Active Challenge’. Throughout this month, employees set their own active challenge – either walking or running – and asked sponsors from friends, families, clients and other colleagues. In total, Sort Group raised over £400 from this one activity in March and walked a combined total of 4,340,715 steps.

Now with a bigger target set, the committee have more ideas and plans for the upcoming months to make sure they see their target of raising £3000 for their chosen charity. With more dress down days and fun activities coming up, keep a look out and donate if you can to help.
