Criteria Brain hits new lender landmark

23 February 2022

UK, 23 February 2022: An enormous year of growth has seen the number of lenders live on Criteria Brain, the criteria-based sourcing solution from mortgage technology expert Mortgage Brain, reach a new high of 88.

The sourcing solution has seen a substantial increase both in the number of lenders on the platform and the number of intermediaries using Criteria Brain over the past 12 months. A host of new lenders have joined Criteria Brain over the last couple of months, including Shawbrook Bank, CHL Mortgages and Generation Home.

As a result of this growth, Criteria Brain users enjoy an unparalleled view into the criteria requirements of the nation’s lenders, with the 88 lenders that are live on the platform accounting for an excess of 95%* of the UK intermediary first charge residential mortgage market.

Criteria Brain users also benefit from the new online Criteria Masterclass sessions launched by Mortgage Brain last year. Four Masterclasses have been held to date, covering subjects like the self-employed, holiday lets, and limited company lending in the buy-to-let market. A fifth Masterclass is to be held on 2nd March, looking at lending in retirement. The Masterclass sessions are free to Criteria Brain users.

Neil Wyatt, sales and marketing director at Mortgage Brain, said: “One of the big challenges faced by mortgage brokers over the last couple of years has been the speed at which lenders adapt their criteria. Criteria Brain is designed to make keeping up with those criteria changes, and finding the right lender for your client, much easier and the response we’ve had from brokers shows that it’s making a tangible difference to their day-to-day workload.”
