Mercantile Trust, the specialist bridging, buy-to-let and commercial lender, has today (Wednesday 31 August) expanded its bridging proposition into Northern Ireland with immediate effect.

This marks the next phase in the specialist lender’s ambitious growth plans. Its bridging proposition is currently available up to 75% LTV on first and second charge bridging loans for residential and refurbishment purposes. Rates start from 0.85% for loans with a minimum term of three months and a maximum of 18 months, ranging from £25,000 up to £150,000.

Mercantile Trust has a designated mortgage desk which acts as a central point of contact for broker enquiries and referrals. This ensures that each and every case is assessed on its individual merit and to provide brokers with clarity on what is required from the outset, with a one-hour decision guaranteed.

This announcement follows Mercantile Trust becoming the latest lender to join the Association of Short-Term Lenders (ASTL) and the recent expansion of its sales team with the appointment of a new senior BDM within the mortgage desk.

Maeve Ward, director of commercial operations at Mercantile Trust, said:
