Mortgage Business Expo, the mortgage industry’s premier event for intermediaries (MBE), has revealed that the keynote address at the MBE London event will be given by Rob Elder, the Bank of England’s Agent for Greater London.

Rob will provide the intermediaries in attendance with his insights into the current state of the economy and the future outlook for the UK.

Rob has worked for the Bank of England since 1998, having spent 12 years supporting the Monetary Policy Committee as an economist and senior management. He then represented the UK on the board of the International Monetary Fund between 2010 and 2012, and more recently has supported the Bank’s Financial Policy Committee by running a team monitoring development in the UK banking sector. Before joining the Bank of England, Rob spent eight years as an economist and forecaster at HM Treasury.

This year’s MBE London takes place on 10th October, and will once again be held at the Business Design Centre. It follows on from the success of the MBE North event earlier this year.
