Market Harborough Building Society returns to EU expat market

Complex case specialist Market Harborough Building Society has announced that it has re-entered the EU market, now accepting applications from UK expats living in the EU.
It has also streamlined the application process for UK expats living in the US, with less upfront paperwork for brokers. These latest enhancements open the door for even more clients and make it even easier for brokers to place their cases.

The specialist lender provides expat residential solutions up to £5m, with rates starting from 5.20% fixed and 5.25% variable for tier one cases, and holiday let and buy to let solutions up to £2m, with rates starting from 5.80% fixed and 5.85% variable for tier one cases.
With many countries and currencies considered, Market Harborough’s expat range caters for a range of scenarios, including those with multiple complexities. Key features include interest-only and part repayment options, joint borrower, sole proprietor and no UK residency or multi-national employer required.
This news comes after the specialist lender reduced its Standard Variable Rate (SVR) by 0.20% to 7.39% on 1 October. It also recently made a series of changes to boost client affordability across its residential ranges, including relaxing its residential stress testing for cases up to £5m and increasing income multiples, with over 6x income now available under its tier three products and up to 6x income accepted under tier two products.
