Movera demonstrates continued growth with development of HR team

09 October 2025

Leading home moving brand Movera, has made two new appointments to expand its human resources function and enable continued growth for the business. Nichola Dixon has been appointed Head of Business Partnering (People & Culture) and Neil Martin as Head of Talent, with both reporting into Karen Buckley, Chief People Officer at Movera.

Dixon joins Movera with more than eighteen years’ experience working in both operational and strategic HR roles, predominantly in the entertainment and tech sectors. Most recently she held the position of Senior People Business Partner at PlatformX Communications where she was focused on the organisational transformation of the business. In her new role at Movera, she will oversee the People Operations and Business Partnering team, managing the company’s day-to-day people operations, as well as supporting the business to deliver its strategic objectives through highly engaged and empowered colleagues.

On her new role Dixon commented:

“At Movera we have bucket loads of talent. My role is about partnering with the business to build the conditions for people to thrive – with a focus on organisational effectiveness, growth, high performance and colleague engagement. That means ensuring our structures, ways of working and people practices enable success, support development and foster inclusion. My team plays a key role in supporting this work. When we get that right, we create the kind of culture people want to be a part of long term.”

Martin has twenty years’ experience in the talent acquisition space, having worked for a number of different organisations including recruitment agencies, academic organisations and innovative HR tech businesses. Most recently, he was Talent Acquisition Project Manager at Deel, the global HR platform. At Movera, Martin will be heading up the talent attraction team, ensuring that the company continues to hire the very best people and continues to grow.

Martin commented: “We want to recruit an inspired workforce that stay and excel. In my role I’ll be primarily looking at how we attract the best talent to further evolve our organisation. I’ll be ensuring we have the right recruitment strategy, tools and technology to facilitate business growth. We want to ensure our employees are as inspired by their work after six months as they were on day one, whether they’re experienced or fresh out of our academy. We also want to make sure the hiring experience is as engaging as possible for candidates so that those who have worked through our recruitment process are excited to begin working here and recommend Movera to others.”

Buckley, chief people officer at Movera, added:

“At Movera, we seek to bring together a range of backgrounds from inside and outside the property and conveyancing industry to introduce new skills to the sector. Nichola and Neil bring with them a vast array of skills and experience in talent acquisition and retention. With their help we hope to continue to grow the Movera group and its reputation as an employer of choice within the sector.”
