Mortgage Business Expo London reports 7% rise in visitors and sets sights on next events in 2026

21 October 2025

The Mortgage Business Expo (MBE) London 2025 once again proved to be one of the leading events for the intermediary mortgage sector, attracting a large number of brokers, lenders and service providers from across the UK.

Held at the Business Design Centre on 14th October, and continuing its strong partnership with the Financial Intermediary & Broker Association (FIBA), the expo recorded a visitor increase of over 7% compared with the previous year.

Attendees spent an average of 5 hours on site, taking part in lively panel sessions, networking and exploring the exhibition.

This year’s MBE London reflected a market keen to connect, share insight and explore opportunity. Conversations focused on the shifting rate environment, growing product diversity and the resilience of the specialist lending sector.

The seminar programme once again drew strong crowds, featuring a keynote from the Bank of England’s Rob Elder on the economic outlook, followed by a market overview panel chaired by Rob Barnard, Intermediary Relationship Director at Pepper Money, exploring trends, risks and opportunities across the mortgage sector. The wider programme covered regulated bridging, specialist finance, later life lending and technology, offering valuable insight and practical takeaways for intermediaries.

MBE London 2025 is delivered in partnership with Square 1 Media, MBE’s official PR partner, supporting communications, industry engagement, and helping curate the seminar line-up in the run-up to the event.

Exhibitors praised both the turnout and the quality of conversations.

Ben Hutchings, National Account Manager, Bath Building Society said:
“Thanks again for putting on a great expo in London. Great turnout of brokers which kept us on our toes most of the day. A lot of interest in our mortgages so thank you for this.”

Chris Monaghan, Associate Director of Marketing at Nomo, described MBE London as:
“The best industry event of 2025.”

Feedback from brokers was equally positive, with comments including:

“Best ever mortgage exhibition in London.” – K Sivanesan, Mortgage4US Ltd.
“Fantastic day.” – Amanda Chapman, Yellow Brick Mortgages.
“A great networking opportunity.” – Daniel Edmondson, Advise Wise.
“It was a very friendly event full of the best people in the industry.” – Karen Halliday, KFS.
“Great if you are looking for networking, insights and partnerships.” – Mansi Behl, Koodoo Advice.

With the success of the London event, preparations are already underway for MBE North, taking place on 9th July 2026, followed by MBE London on 20th October 2026. Both are expected to feature an expanded exhibition area and a refreshed seminar line-up focused on practical insight and intermediary support.

Mike Mikunda, Event Director for MBE, added:

“It was fantastic to see such a strong turnout for MBE London this year. The event continues to go from strength to strength, and the feedback from brokers and exhibitors speaks for itself. We’re already looking forward to bringing the show to Manchester next July before returning to London again in October.”

Martin Reynolds, Chief Executive Officer of SimplyBiz Mortgages and Chairman of FIBA, said:

“We really enjoyed another successful event. The panel debates and presentation sessions offered both variety and meaningful insight on a variety of topics and market dynamics. The exhibition hall was busy and at the FIBA stand we enjoyed many positive conversations about what we are trying to achieve, as well as an interest from advisers in extending their product offering to clients.”
