Square 1 Media unveils new branding to support growth plans

Specialist PR and communications agency Square 1 Media has launched a new brand identity and website to reflect its growing influence in the mortgage, property and specialist finance sectors.
Founded in 2019, Square 1 Media has earned a reputation for delivering high-impact results across media relations, thought leadership, content creation and events. The brand refresh marks a significant milestone for the agency as it sharpens its focus on delivering influence experience and results for clients across financial services.
The rebrand reflects Square 1 Media’s evolution from a start-up into a boutique agency with heavyweight expertise and a proven track record. In recent years, the team has grown with prestigious hires, bringing together decades of experience across PR, journalism, and specialist lending.

With more than 100 years of collective experience across the mortgage, specialist finance and property sectors, the Square 1 Media team is among the most seasoned in UK financial services PR. The agency was founded by Paul Hunt, Rob Griffiths, Scott Philipson and Alex Hammond – a leadership team with deep expertise spanning journalism, lending, marketing and communications. Together, they’ve built a boutique consultancy known for its senior-led approach and exceptional industry knowledge.
Client Services Directors John Fitzsimons and Victoria Hartley – both award-winning former editors – strengthen the agency’s editorial leadership, and Crofton Bonney, PR Account Manager, brings over 15 years of experience as a marketing, communications, and events specialist. Most recently, Square 1 has recruited graduates, Joseph Monaghan and Lily Coulson as PR Account Assistants to further enhance the team’s capabilities.
The new brand was developed in collaboration with design consultant Sean Cloudsdale, who brought the refreshed visual identity to life.
