UTB Asset Finance Continues to Build Credit, Operations and Payouts Teams with Four New Appointments

United Trust Bank Asset Finance is continuing to develop its credit, operations and payout teams with four new appointments as it seeks to maintain continuous improvement of speed and service to brokers whilst transacting increasing volumes of business.

Two new Underwriters

Umar Butt has joined UTB from Groupe BPCE where he was Team Leader in Flow Underwriting. Umar is an experienced underwriter with 10 years in the financial services industry working in SME and consumer sectors. He has extensive experience of underwriting across the agricultural, transport, industrial and construction verticals and is already adding value to UTB’s agricultural proposition and reconnecting with brokers at trade shows and events.

Another joiner from BPCE is Tharun Rajagi who joined UTB in January. Tharun was previously a Risk Manager at Groupe BPCE has joined UTB’s flow team as an underwriter with special interest in developing the Bank’s High Value Car finance offering.

KYC Expertise

Grant Watkins is a risk and compliance consultant with over 3 years’ experience in financial crime prevention specialising in AML investigations, KYC reviews, and quality control. Grant has joined the Asset Finance KYC team having previously worked with FDM Group and KPMG. He is already a valuable additional resource to the team as new business enquiries increase.

Prompt Payouts

Jessica Womack rounded off a hat trick of hires from BPCE joining the increasingly busy payouts team. With previous experience from HTB and Renaissance Asset Finance behind her, she has quickly made a strong impact, securing her mandate within her first month.
