Alice Hendy MBE joins industry discussion to drive mental health awareness

11 March 2026

Mortgage professionals are being encouraged to continue prioritising mental health and wellbeing across the sector following a powerful industry discussion hosted by the Mortgage Industry Mental Health Charter.

The session, titled “Keep the Conversation Going”, featured Alice Hendy MBE, founder of suicide prevention charity R;pple, alongside Eloise Hall, Strategic Relationship Director at e-surv and Jason Berry, Group Sales Director at Crystal Specialist Finance and co-founder of the Mortgage Industry Mental Health Charter.

The discussion highlighted the importance of open conversations around mental health and the role that individuals, businesses and leaders can play in creating supportive workplace cultures.

Alice shared the story behind the creation of R;pple, the digital tool designed to intercept harmful online searches and direct people to mental health support services. The technology has already helped thousands of people access immediate support.

Eloise Hall said the initiative reflects the Charter’s ongoing commitment to breaking down stigma within the mortgage industry.

“Alice has created a tool which is saving people’s lives every day. Her passion for action and for delivering meaningful change is an inspiration to all of us associated with MIMHC as we seek to better support those individuals who operate in the mortgage sector” she said.

The Mortgage Industry Mental Health Charter continues to work with lenders, networks and brokers to raise awareness and encourage practical action to support wellbeing across the sector.
