Darlington to host CPD webinar on regulation, AI and market strategy
16 March 2026
Darlington Building Society will host a live CPD-accredited webinar for brokers on 24 March, examining how regulatory change, artificial intelligence (AI) and shifting client expectations are reshaping the advice market in 2026.
The 30-minute virtual session, titled Q1 2026 Broker Landscape: Regulations, AI & Staying Essential, will run from 10:30am to 11:00am and analyse what the first quarter of the year signals for advisers and the wider intermediary sector.
The session will assess how regulation, technology and changing borrower expectations are influencing adviser workflows and the value brokers provide to clients. It will also outline practical steps advisers can take to remain competitive.
The 30-minute discussion will feature guest speaker Greg Cunnington, Head of Strategic accounts at Legal & General Mortgage Club and be hosted by Darlington’s Head of Intermediary Distribution, Chris Blewitt, alongside James Travers, Digital Business Development Manager.
Ex-broker Cunnington joined L&G Mortgage Club two years ago after almost 20 years with London-based brokers working closely on lender strategy at both Alexander Hall and LDNFinance.
The event is free to attend and CPD accredited, offering brokers practical guidance they will be able to apply directly to their client conversations and advice processes.
Chris Blewitt, Head of Intermediary Distribution at Darlington Building Society, said:
“Regulation, technology and client expectations are all moving quickly and brokers are having to adapt at pace. This session is about taking a clear look at what those changes mean in practice and how advisers can continue to demonstrate the value of advice.
“Working with experienced voices such as L&G Mortgage Club’s Greg Cunnington allows us to share insight that helps brokers remain confident in their role and stay central to the mortgage process.”
