Source Halves Home Insurance Quote Time Following Adviser Feedback
05 May 2026
Source Insurance has cut the time it takes to complete a home insurance quote by half, delivering a significantly faster and more streamlined experience for advisers.
The platform update, driven directly by adviser feedback, enables users to reach the insurer panel in as little as 35 seconds, removing friction and accelerating the path to price.
To achieve this, Source has overhauled its quote journey:
- Declaration questions have been cut by more than 50% (from 27 to 13)
- Unnecessary core questions have been removed
- Pre-price sections have been merged into a single step
- Auto-population has been increased to reduce manual input
Advisers now complete just one step before accessing the panel.
To further improve flow and build client trust, contact details have been moved to the end of the journey, allowing advisers to start quotes instantly without early-stage data entry.
This latest update reflects Source’s continued focus on listening to advisers and removing barriers, so they can work faster, quote smarter, and deliver better outcomes for clients.
Gavin Judd, Head of Business Development, shares his thoughts,
“This update is all about respecting advisers’ time and making the quoting journey as seamless as possible. By removing unnecessary steps and acting directly on feedback, we’ve created a faster, more intuitive experience that helps advisers reach prices quicker and focus on delivering the best outcomes for their clients.”
Speaking on this latest development, IT Director Chris Lynch highlights the advantages,
“We’ve analysed thousands of broker and consumer journeys and worked closely with our insurer partners to deliver these enhancements. This fantastic result comes from our commitment to continuous improvement across our technology stack and focussing on the things that really make our platform work – speed, ease of use, and flexibility. I’m looking forward to seeing how these changes work for brokers and starting the next phase of development.”
