Glenhawk and Portway Finance complete £1.4 million bridging loan for Dutch investors

Glenhawk, the specialist short-term lender, has completed a £1.4 million bridging loan for experienced Dutch national property investors, supporting the acquisition of a farmhouse and holiday let cottage complex in Bristol.

The deal was introduced by Callum Taylor and the team at Portway Finance, with the case led by Underwriter Loulou Rich and Senior BDM Peter Turner at Glenhawk.

Structured at 75% loan-to-purchase-price, the facility enabled the borrowers to move quickly to secure the property after another transaction had fallen through.

The case involved a number of technical and legal considerations. The borrowing SPV was owned through three offshore companies, while an overage deed emerged during the later stages of the legal process.

Glenhawk worked closely with Portway Finance, legal representatives, and all parties involved to manage the structural and legal complexities of the case, enabling the transaction to complete within the required timeframe.
