TFAS launches TechForward — a dedicated adviser tech programme to help firms navigate AI and digital transformation

04 June 2026

TFAS Compliance Services has announced TechForward, a programme of structured support designed to help advice firms cut through the noise around technology and AI and make transformation work in practice.

TFAS Compliance Services today announced the launch of TechForward, a structured programme of events, research, and practical guidance created to support advisers as they face a convergence of pressures – rising operational costs, evolving Consumer Duty obligations and the rapid emergence of AI in client facing workflows - that are fundamentally reshaping how advice businesses have to run.

Running from this month until to October 2026, TechForward combines TFAS's compliance expertise, the experience of implementation specialist partner Jigsaw Tree, and contributions from some of the leading providers of regtech, including Aveni, Intelliflo, and Dynamic Planner.

The programme is designed to address what TFAS describes as ‘a growing gap between awareness and action’ across the adviser market. Whilst most firms recognise the need to modernise their operations and tech infrastructure, many are uncertain about where to start, how to manage the internal change that transformation requires, and how to ensure that AI-assisted processes remain on the right side of FCA expectations.

Richard Ardron, Chief Commercial Officer of TFAS Enterprises, commented:

“Advisers are not short of people trying to sell them technology. What they are short of is impartial, experience-led insight into how to approach understanding what they need, and what the compliance picture actually looks like as AI enters client-facing workflows. TechForward exists to fill that gap.”

TechForward launches this month with an exclusive virtual focus group for TFAS member firms, facilitated by Jigsaw Tree. The session is designed as a frank, peer-to-peer conversation, providing an opportunity for advisers to share firsthand experience of technology adoption, hear from firms at different stages of the journey, and take away practical principles to guide their own approach.

In July, TFAS will open the programme to the wider adviser market with a webinar focused specifically on the transformation and change management piece, an area the firm says is consistently underestimated by firms embarking on technology projects. The session will be directly informed by themes emerging from the June focus group, ensuring its content reflects the real challenges advisers are facing rather than a theoretical framework.

TechForward 2025 — programme at a glance

  • June 2025: Exclusive virtual focus group for TFAS member firms, facilitated by Jigsaw Tree. Peer-led discussion on technology adoption: experiences, challenges and what good looks like.

  • July 2025: Open webinar: Managing the Transformation. Change management, people and governance — directly informed by the focus group.

  • Aug–Sep 2025: The TechForward Report: a co-authored practical guide for adviser firms

  • October 2025: Main stage panel session at the Advice Summit, featuring Jigsaw Tree, Aveni, Intelliflo, and Dynamic Planner

  • Throughout: The TechForward Hub: a dedicated online resource housing all content, recordings, the report and partner guidance.

The programme will also produce a co-authored white paper - the TechForward Report - bringing together findings from across the programme into a practical, action-oriented guide for advice firms.

TechForward concludes at the Advice Summit in October 2025, where a main stage panel session will bring together representatives from Jigsaw Tree, Aveni, Intelliflo, and Dynamic Planner for a discussion grounded in everything gathered throughout the programme. Each partner will also be available in the exhibition area for follow-up conversations with delegates.

“What makes TechForward different is that it starts with a listening exercise - a genuine conversation with adviser firms about where they are and what they need. Everything else is built on that. The white paper, the webinar, the Summit panel - it all comes from the ground up, not the top down”. Kath Harvey, Proposition and Commercial Director Jigsaw Tree

A dedicated TechForward Hub will be available throughout the programme, providing a central resource for firms to access recordings, the white paper, partner information, and practical guidance as the programme develops.
