Atom bank introduces commercial mortgage procuration fee boost and large loan discount
24 June 2026
Atom bank, one of the UK’s highest rated banks on Trustpilot*, has introduced a limited offer to procuration fees on commercial mortgages.
New-to-bank commercial lending applications submitted before 30th September will qualify for a 1.75% procuration fee. There will be no change to the overall 2.00% arrangement fee, with Atom bank reducing its retained portion instead.
Alongside the procuration fee boost, Atom bank has improved the interest rate discount available on large commercial loans. A 0.40% reduction will now apply to loans of £1m-£3m, while there will be a 0.25% reduction for loans of £3m-£10m. Previously a 0.25% discount applied for loans of £1m-£4m.
All commercial mortgage borrowers benefit from bespoke rates when working with Atom bank, with rates calculated based on the individual borrower’s circumstances. Brokers can utilise the Quick Quote tool on the Atom bank broker portal to gain an indicative quote for clients.
Delivering for commercial borrowers
Atom bank has consistently acted to improve its commercial lending proposition, and deliver a better experience to brokers and their business clients.
This year, the bank has introduced rate discounts of 0.25% for cases where the borrower has a high debt service coverage (DSC) or interest coverage ratio (ICR). It has also reduced the minimum loan size on two separate occasions, initially to £200,000 and then to £100,000, allowing Atom bank to support a broader range of businesses with more modest funding needs.
Tom Renwick, Head of Business Lending at Atom bank, commented:
“Our broker partners are the heartbeat of our commercial mortgage proposition, and we are committed to delivering the strategic value they need to champion their clients and the needs of UK businesses. By boosting procuration fees and introducing more competitive rates for larger facilities, we are further strengthening our commercial proposition and providing our broker partners with greater commercial flexibility.
“The broader market continues to neglect businesses seeking smaller loan amounts. We have already seen an excellent response from brokers to these updates, reinforcing our position as we decisively close this funding gap. In lowering our minimum loan thresholds, we ensure that all SMEs, regardless of scale, command direct access to the fast, bespoke financing essential for growth”.
