Hope Capital Property Finance Increases Committed Funding to £50 Million With Shawbrook Bank

10 August 2026

Following a record-breaking 2025 and continued strong momentum into 2026, specialist short-term lender Hope Capital Property Finance has further strengthened its longstanding relationship with Shawbrook Bank, with its committed funding facility increasing to £50 million.

The enhanced facility marks the latest milestone in the partnership between Hope Capital Property Finance and Shawbrook Bank. Having initially secured a £15 million facility in 2023, followed by further increases in 2024 and 2025, the latest uplift brings the total committed facility to £50 million. The increase reflects both Hope Capital Property Finance's sustained growth and Shawbrook Bank's continued confidence in the business.

The increase also forms part of Hope Capital Property Finance's wider funding strategy. Earlier this quarter, the lender announced that its renewed committed senior funding line, facilitated by Triple Point, had increased to £75 million. This followed the announcement of a new funding partnership with Hampshire Trust Bank (HTB), with Hope Capital Property Finance securing its first £35 million committed funding line from the bank in June. The addition of HTB as a funding partner represents a significant milestone in the lender’s continued diversification of its funding base, while the combined facilities further strengthen its capacity to support increasing borrower demand and underpin its long-term growth strategy.

The enhanced funding follows a record-breaking period for Hope Capital Property Finance. During 2025, the lender recorded a 61% increase in its loan book, alongside an 86% rise in applications and a 46% increase in funded facilities. Its lending pipeline also grew by 15%, while loans exceeding their agreed term reduced by 49%, demonstrating the strength of the lender's underwriting and portfolio management.

This momentum has continued into 2026, with enquiries increasing by 45% year-on-year and applications rising by a further 30% year-on-year, reflecting sustained demand for the lender's specialist bridging finance solutions.

Warren Mutch, Head of Speciality and Fund Finance at Shawbrook, commented on the strengthened partnership:

"Hope Capital Property Finance has delivered consistent and sustainable growth, underpinned by disciplined underwriting and a clear strategic direction. It's been rewarding to support the business over several years as our partnership has evolved, and this latest increase reflects both the strength of the relationship and our confidence in the team as they continue to expand."

Kate Cowan, Chief Financial and Operating Officer at Hope Capital Property Finance, added:

"This enhanced facility strengthens our day-to-day operational capacity and ensures we are well positioned to manage increasing volumes while maintaining the standard of service we are known for. Our focus remains on scaling sustainably and continuing to build on the success we've had."

Jonathan Sealey, Chief Executive Officer at Hope Capital Property Finance, commented:

"The continued support from Shawbrook Bank is a significant endorsement of both our performance and our long-term strategy. Alongside our recent funding milestones with Triple Point and Hampshire Trust Bank (HTB), this enhanced facility ensures we have the strength, flexibility and liquidity to continue supporting brokers and borrowers as demand for specialist bridging finance continues to grow. As we continue to expand, maintaining strong relationships with trusted funding partners remains central to our strategy and our ability to deliver market-leading service."

With £160 million of committed funding now secured across its funding partners, Hope Capital Property Finance is well positioned to continue scaling its lending operations, supporting its growing network of brokers and borrowers, and expanding its presence across the UK bridging finance market. The strengthened funding platform provides the capacity and resilience to meet rising demand while reinforcing the lender's long-term commitment to sustainable growth and exceptional service.
