NPTN by LMS to bring together industry leaders to make sense of property market reform

03 September 2026

Live webinar and panel discussion will take place on 17 September

NPTN by LMS, the UK's first open, real-time network for home buying and selling, will host a live webinar, bringing together some of the property industry's most influential voices to help the market make sense of the growing number of property reform initiatives, working groups and policy developments and what they mean for the future of the industry.

Property Market Reform: Making Sense of the Moving Parts will explore how bodies including the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG), the Open Property Data Association (OPDA), the Digital Property Market Steering Group (DPMSG) and the Centre for Finance, Innovation and Technology (CFIT) are working together to move the industry towards a smart data-led property market.

The vision for the industry, laid out in the Government’s recent reform roadmap, is a property market where trusted information can be shared across lenders, conveyancers, estate agents and other stakeholders, reducing duplication and delays, and improving the moving experience for consumers.

With so many organisations working towards the goal, LMS believes it is critical that the industry understands not just what each initiative is trying to achieve, but how they connect, where responsibilities sit, how stakeholders should prioritise engagement over the next 6–12 months, as well as what actions they can take now.

The panel will include:

  • Travis Scholes, Commercial Director, LMS
  • Maria Harris, Chair, Open Property Data Association (OPDA)
  • Leon Ifayemi, Director of Coalitions and Research, Centre for Finance, Innovation and Technology (CFIT)
  • Beth Rudolf, Director of Delivery, Conveyancing Association

Travis Scholes, Commercial Director at LMS, said:

"There's a lot of important progress happening across the industry, but from the outside, it can be hard to understand how all the moving parts fit together. We wanted to bring some of the key industry voices driving this discussion into one room, not to add another initiative to the pile, but to help the industry see the whole picture – who's doing what, why it matters, and how stakeholders can take action now. The more we can connect these conversations across the industry, the better placed we'll be to turn good ideas and individual initiatives into meaningful progress."

The session will be structured around five key questions: what is actually changing across the property market; how the various initiatives and working groups fit together; what matters most for lenders, conveyancers and estate agents; what stakeholders should prioritise over the next 6–12 months; and how the industry can stay engaged as the market continues to evolve.

The panel discussion will be followed by a live audience Q&A.
