Aspen prepares for next phase of growth with four new GRS appointments

16 September 2026

Aspen has appointed four new alumni to its Graduate Recruitment Scheme (GRS) as the lender continues to invest in the development of its team to meet future aggressive growth targets.

Cameron Ritchie joins the business as an Underwriter with additional responsibility for data quality, an increasingly important area as it prepares the ground for new funding arrangements. He is a graduate of the University of Bath and also holds a master’s degree in Marketing from the University of Birmingham.

Sofia Dantas joins as Aspen’s first dedicated Marketing recruit through the GRS scheme, where she will work to formalise and develop the company’s marketing activities to further bolster Aspen’s brand recognition. She attained a first-class honours degree in Psychology from the University of Warwick.

Daniel Moore, who achieved a 2:1 in Economics at University of Bristol and has just completed a masters in Project Management at Aston University, and Harvir Singh, who has a first class honours degree in Mathematics from The University of Manchester, both join as Trainee Credit Analysts.

As members of Aspen's in-house valuations function they will acquire RICS accreditations in residential and commercial valuation methodology.

The appointments bring Aspen’s GRS intake to 26 in total and reflect the company’s commitment to bringing ambitious, high-calibre individuals into the business. Many have progressed to hold influential leadership positions including Saif Khalique, who was recently promoted to Director of Underwriting.

Jack Coombs, Chief Operating Officer at S&U PLC, parent company of Aspen, said: “Achieving our ambitious growth targets requires us to continue investing in talented people, and our GRS has established itself as a proven route in attracting bright, ambitious graduates and developing them into future leaders of the business.”
