Just out, today’s global business survey (PMI) shows eurozone business activity accelerating to its fastest rate in more than three years, while UK growth has cooled.
I hope that your own business reflects that optimism in Europe!
The big currency story this month has been the rise of the US dollar, powered by the Fed’s first interest rate rise in three years.
The dollar is still nowhere near its pre-Trump levels but the rise does make property and life in Europe that bit more affordable for US clients.
Brits in Europe will be relieved that the ECB’s own rate rise didn’t support the euro, or the Bank of England’s more dovish stance hurt the pound too much.
