Plannr partners with Mortgage Brain to bring mortgage sourcing and submissions directly into the adviser workflow
01 October 2026
1 October 2026: Plannr has announced a strategic partnership with Mortgage Brain, bringing mortgage sourcing, criteria, affordability and lender submission technology directly into the Plannr operating system.
The partnership will see Plannr integrate the latest versions of Mortgage Brain’s Sourcing Brain, Criteria Brain and Affordability Brain APIs, alongside Submissions Brain, its digital lender submission API.
The integration is designed to create a more connected mortgage journey for advisers, allowing them to move between client management, mortgage research and application without repeatedly switching systems or rekeying client information.
Mortgage research connected to the client record
The first phase of the partnership brings Sourcing Brain directly into the Plannr workflow.
Advisers can launch Sourcing Brain from an existing client record in Plannr, research suitable mortgage products and then return the selected product and associated documentation directly to Plannr. The product can then be associated with the relevant case and used to create a proposed mortgage plan.
By connecting specialist mortgage technology directly to the client record, Plannr can remain the central operating system for the adviser while Mortgage Brain provides the specialist sourcing capability behind the workflow.
From research through to application
The partnership will also extend into mortgage submissions through Mortgage Brain’s Submissions Brain technology.
This will allow Plannr users to transfer case data directly into the systems of a number of leading UK banks and building societies, reducing manual data entry at the application stage and helping to reduce both administration time and the risk of errors.
Together, the integrations create the foundations for a more joined-up mortgage journey within Plannr, connecting the client record, advice workflow, mortgage research and lender submission process.
Gareth Thompson, Chief Technology Officer, Plannr, said:
“We’re thrilled to be launching our partnership with Mortgage Brain. It’s one that our firms have been asking for, and it’s a great example of what we mean when we talk about Plannr being the operating system for financial planners. With Sourcing Brain connected directly to the client record, the research happens where the adviser already works, and everything that comes out of it lands back in Plannr automatically. No re-keying, no downloading and re-uploading, just a cleaner process and a complete client file. Mortgage Brain has been a brilliant partner in getting phase one live, and we’re excited about what comes next.”
Neil Wyatt, Chief Commercial Officer, Mortgage Brain, said:
“We’re delighted to be working with the team at Plannr. We believe partnerships are the best way to deliver meaningful solutions that achieve the best possible outcomes for end users. Integrating Sourcing Brain, Criteria Brain, Affordability Brain and Submissions Brain into Plannr means advisers can move from research to application in one place. I’m looking forward to seeing the opportunities that develop for both businesses and, most importantly, for Plannr’s users.”
Building a connected advice ecosystem
The partnership is another step in Plannr’s strategy to provide an API-first operating system that connects the technology financial advice firms use around a single client record.
Rather than requiring firms to work across disconnected systems, Plannr is designed to provide the orchestration layer between specialist technology providers, allowing data and workflows to move between systems while maintaining a complete client record.
The Mortgage Brain integration extends that approach into the mortgage journey, combining Plannr’s client, workflow and case-management capabilities with Mortgage Brain’s specialist mortgage technology.
