BDLA confirms final line-up for largest Annual Conference to date
06 October 2026
The Bridging & Development Lenders Association (BDLA) has confirmed the final speaker and panel line-up for its 2026 Annual Conference, alongside a full sponsor line-up and expanded networking opportunities for what will be the Association’s largest conference to date.
Taking place at the Institute of Directors (IoD) on Pall Mall, London, on Wednesday 11th November, the conference will begin at midday and bring together lenders, funders and professional partners from across the bridging and development finance market.
More than 200 delegates have already booked to attend, an increase of more than 25% on last year, and the move to the larger IoD venue means further places remain available.
Strettons will support the event as Headline Sponsor, continuing its close involvement with the BDLA and the bridging and development lending market, while Together is supporting as Lunch Sponsor and CG&Co will sponsor drinks before and after the main conference programme. Results Asset Management is also supporting the event.
The programme will open with a reflection on the achievements and challenges of 2026 before moving into the first panel session, Bridging and Development Finance – The ‘new’ Ecosystem.
The session will bring together representatives from Strettons, Together, VAS, Shawbrook Bank and Brightstone Law to consider how different parts of the bridging and development finance market have responded to the challenges of the past year. It will consider the importance of lenders, brokers, funders, valuers, solicitors and property professionals working together, and what the market can do collectively to support activity and create the conditions for a stronger 2027.
Technology will be the focus of the second panel, which will bring together representatives from Provide Finance, Kennek, Nivo and OMS to discuss current technology advances across the short-term lending and intermediary markets and what still needs to happen to deliver a genuinely joined-up new business origination process.
Rob Elder of the Bank of England will provide an assessment of the UK economy and explain how the Bank’s view is feeding into monetary policy. Alex Brummer, City Editor of the Daily Mail, will close the main speaker programme, providing his perspective on the UK economy, financial markets and the issues likely to influence businesses and investors during the year ahead.
The conference will also include the presentation of the BDLA Special Recognition Award and the Benson Hersch Award.
Adam Tyler, Chief Executive Officer of the BDLA, said:
“This will be our largest Annual Conference ever and I think the programme reflects both how far the BDLA has come and the range of issues our members are dealing with at the moment.
“We have deliberately put together sessions that look beyond lenders in isolation, as bridging and development finance relies on a much wider group of businesses working well together, from brokers and funders to valuers, lawyers and technology providers.
“We’re also very pleased to welcome Rob Elder and Alex Brummer, two experts who will give delegates two different perspectives on the economic environment at a time when the direction of the economy, interest rates and property activity are open to much speculation.
“With more than 200 people already booked, we are well ahead of last year’s attendance. Moving to the Institute of Directors has given us the capacity to accommodate that demand, so there is still time for members and guests to book.
“I’d like to thank Strettons, our Headline Sponsor, for its continued support of the BDLA and this year’s conference. I’d also like to thank Together, our Lunch Sponsor, and CG&Co for supporting the networking drinks before and after the event, as well as Nivo, Kennek and Results Asset Management for their support. The backing we receive from all of our sponsors plays an important part in enabling us to bring the industry together for an event of this scale.”
