Paragon Bank appoints Simon Cockerill as Commercial Director of Mortgages

Paragon Bank has appointed Simon Cockerill as Commercial Director of Mortgages to build on the Bank’s established specialist lending expertise and further develop its buy-to-let proposition, supporting brokers and landlords across a broad range of requirements.

Reporting to Managing Director of Mortgages, Louisa Sedgwick, Simon will lead the continued development of Paragon's buy-to-let mortgage sales, distribution and product functions. Working with established teams across the business, he will support further growth in existing and developing areas of the market, helping brokers find solutions for landlord clients across an increasingly diverse range of borrowing requirements.

Simon joins Paragon with 28 years' experience across mortgage sales and distribution. Most recently, he spent almost nine years as Head of Sales at OSB Group, having previously held senior roles spanning lenders, intermediaries and building societies.

Simon will work with colleagues across the business to build on Paragon's specialist lending expertise and track record of innovation, developing further solutions that support portfolio growth, property improvement and investment across the private rented sector. This will help landlords provide the high-quality homes that renters continue to demand.
