Uinsure appoints Tom Doyle as Chief Trading Officer to lead growing insurer partnerships

13 October 2026

Uinsure has appointed Tom Doyle as Chief Trading Officer to lead its insurer partnerships and trading strategy.

Tom, who joined the business this month, brings more than 28 years' experience in general insurance. He joins from Markerstudy Retail, where he was responsible for insurer capacity management across one of the UK's largest personal lines portfolios, overseeing multiple lines.

He has also worked at AXA Commercial and Ageas Retail, giving him a rounded view of the market and a clear understanding of what drives sustainable and profitable growth for capacity providers, as well as what distribution partners need.

In his new role, Tom will lead Uinsure's trading strategy, with responsibility for insurer and capacity relationships, product development and portfolio performance. He will work closely with Uinsure's pricing, data and distribution teams to ensure its propositions continue to meet the needs of customers, partners and insurers.

The appointment comes during a period of strong growth for Uinsure, which is targeting £150m in gross written premium in the current financial year and has secured 12 new long-term partnerships since 2024, including some of the UK's leading building societies and major mortgage networks.

NatWest Group went live in July, and by the end of the year Uinsure will have onboarded two of the UK's top five banks and a major retailer. Its panel was strengthened earlier this year with the addition of Lloyds Bank General Insurance, exclusive to Uinsure in the mortgage intermediary market.

Martin Schultheiss, Group Managing Director at Uinsure, said:

"Insurer partnerships are one of the three pillars our business is built on, alongside our technology and our distribution. Our distribution has driven much of our growth, with major banks, building societies and all major mortgage networks using our technology, which continues to evolve. Developments like our new Insurance Monitoring technology give our insurers more opportunities to compete for customers, so as our technology and distribution grow, our insurer partnerships need to grow with them.

"Bringing in the right people at the right time has been central to how we've scaled, and Tom has spent his career managing insurer relationships at an impressive scale. I'm delighted to welcome him to the business as we enter our next phase of growth."

Tom Doyle, Chief Trading Officer at Uinsure, added:

"Uinsure has scaled significantly over the last few years, and the opportunity for our insurer partners has naturally grown with it. It's an exciting time to be joining the business, with real scope to deepen our insurer partnerships, using our insight and data assets to create additional value, expand our competitive footprint with more confidence and grow our product suite to serve the evolving needs of our partners and their customers.”
