Landbay announce new BDM covering North England and Scotland
19 October 2026
Buy-to-let lender, Landbay, has today (19th October 2026) announced the appointment of a new Business Development Manager (BDM) covering North Yorkshire, the North East and Scotland.
Daniel Bell joins with immediate effect and will report to Rob Stanton, Sales and Distribution Director at Landbay. He will be working with brokers and advisory firms across the regions and providing sales support and insight across the lender’s full range of buy-to-let products, including its Premier, Core, Specialist and Product Transfer ranges.
He joins Landbay from Newsource Commercial Finance in Harrogate, where he worked for more than 13 years, most recently as its Head of Broker Relations. During his time at Newsource, Daniel built its broker network from a standing start to more than 100 brokers, helping support the growth of the business and its subsequent sale to the Leonard Curtis Group.
Prior to becoming Head of Broker Relations, Daniel spent almost five years as a Case and Account Manager at Newsource, managing cases across a wide range of property finance sectors including buy-to-let, HMO, MUFB, refurbishment, development, semi-commercial and commercial.
Landbay said Daniel’s experience of working directly with brokers, combined with his detailed knowledge of specialist property finance and case management, would support its continued focus on providing brokers with knowledgeable and practical support across northern regions.
His appointment is the latest investment Landbay has made in its sales operation during 2026 and follows the launch in July of its new Telephone Sales Team, led by Telephone Sales Manager, Jon Braddick.
The Telephone Sales Team was created to provide additional support to brokers and Landbay’s BDMs, with a focus on communication, pipeline management and engagement.

Rob Stanton, Sales and Distribution Director at Landbay, said:
“Daniel brings a considerable amount of experience to Landbay, having spent more than 13 years working across specialist property finance and building strong relationships with brokers. He has worked on a wide variety of property cases while his progression from case management into leading broker relations means he understands both the detail involved in getting cases through and the support advisers need.
“His appointment also continues the investment we have been making in our sales operation, including the launch of our Telephone Sales Team earlier this year, and gives us further capacity to support brokers across North Yorkshire, the North East and Scotland. We want our BDMs to spend time understanding brokers, their businesses and the cases they are working on, backed by a wider team that can provide support throughout the application process, and Daniel's experience makes him a very strong fit for this approach.”
Daniel Bell, Business Development Manager at Landbay, added:
“I’ve spent my career working closely with brokers and helping them find solutions across a broad range of property finance cases, so I’m looking forward to bringing that experience to Landbay and getting out to meet advisers in my regions. Having worked both on individual cases and in broker relations, I know how important it is for advisers to have a BDM who understands their business, is available when they need support and can help them find the right solution for their landlord clients. I’m excited about the Landbay proposition and how we can help more brokers find the right finance solutions for their clients.”
