Source Insurance Appoints Simon Thomas as Managing Director to Lead Next Phase of Growth

Source Insurance has appointed Simon Thomas as Managing Director, strengthening its leadership team as the business enters an exciting new phase of growth.

With more than 30 years’ experience across underwriting, broking and senior insurance leadership, Simon brings extensive market knowledge and a strong understanding of the needs of advisers and their clients. Having previously worked at Source, he also has an established connection with the business and its ambitions for the future.

Alongside his new role at Source, Simon will continue as Managing Director of Protect Commercial.

Working closely with the Board, Simon will focus on building on the strong foundations already in place, developing new opportunities and strengthening relationships across the market. This will include growing Source’s network of provider partners, enhancing the home and landlord proposition, exploring new markets and continuing to develop solutions that deliver greater choice and value for advisers and their clients.

With a clear focus on partnership, innovation and opportunity, Simon’s appointment marks a positive step forward for Source as it looks to build momentum into 2027.
