Conduit Financial Services puts hand in pocket for charity to pay financial advisers for their time

1.Conduit to pay £50 to One Foundation for a 5-minute phone call with IFAs 2.Confidence in Blacksquare Multi Manager Absolute Return Fund that offers smooth, positive returns 3.Donations to be made to the One Foundation to address health and sanitation needs of communities in Africa Recently launched third party fund marketing specialist Conduit Financial Solutions is offering to pay £50 to the One Foundation for an IFA phone call lasting less than 5 minutes. CONDUIT partner, Ian Millward, said: “We are a relatively new company and our business model is very simple. We aim to identify genuine best of breed funds and introduce them to the cream of the investment and financial planning community.” “We are working with specialist asset management company Blacksquare Capital which has recently launched one of the first regulated Multi Manager Absolute Return funds designed specifically for the UK market. “To date, approximately 70% of the advisers who have met Blacksquare have then recommended their fund to clients. We think that is pretty astounding for a new launch,” Millward added. “But Conduit’s biggest issue has been securing time with advisers who do not already know us. Quite rightly, IFAs are busy seeing clients and have talented staff trained to protect them from approaches by product providers. “To combat this, Conduit is offering to pay £50 to charity for a quick phone call,” said Millward. “The sure fire way to convince someone that you value their time is to pay for it. We need less than 5 minutes to explain the whys and wherefores of this fund. “IFAs can then decide to commit to further due diligence or not. That values an hour of their time at £600 and is a measure of our confidence in the Blacksquare Capital offering,” he continued. “These IFAs recognise that their clients are seeking smooth positive returns that beat cash and inflation and that Blacksquare’s fund has the potential to offer a comprehensive solution to achieve this,” Millward added. Millward also revealed: “What we would like to do is make the payment to the One Foundation on the IFA’s behalf. The One Foundation is a UK based charity that works with communities in Africa to address needs such as clean drinking water, nutrition and HIV.” “With so many of us getting really excited about the World Cup, we thought this gave both advisers and us a chance to do something positive in Africa, while we enjoy the football this summer,” he added. “Our target is to raise £5,000 over the next few weeks. In the unlikely event England win the World Cup, we will double whatever we raise.” Conduit will keep this offer open until the World Cup finishes on 11 July 2010 and it will apply to the first 100 IFA firms who respond. Conduit Financial Solutions will publish all the names of supporting IFAs on their website and on Twitter. To participate IFA’s simply need to register their interest at www.conduitfs.co.uk -Ends-Click below to download the full press release
