SPECIALIST retirement adviser Annuity Direct has appointed its financial planning manager Katherine Oxenham to board director. Having spent over 20 years within the financial services industry, Oxenham joined Annuity Direct as financial planning manager in early 2009. After just 15 months with the Newport, Isle of Wight based firm, Oxenham will now be further supporting group CEO, Bob Bullivant, as the company grows. “Katherine has demonstrated an outstanding grasp of the complex issues facing retirement planning professionals, is highly qualified, and will be continuing to help underpin our rapid expansion and ambition to become the UK’s number one annuity and retirement adviser,” said Bob Bullivant. Oxenham is an associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute (ACII), a fellow of the Personal Finance Society (FPFS) and is also a Chartered Financial Planner. She is married, with two children. “One of the biggest tasks facing independent retirement planners is the lack of awareness of the open market option, along with the host of constant new developments our industry demands,” said Oxenham. “We live in exceptionally exciting times for the retirement planning industry, and I am looking forward to helping to continue to establish Annuity Direct as a major player in this crucial sector.” – Ends –
