L&C launches iPhone app

London & Country Mortgages has launched a free mortgage application for the iPhone. The Mortgage Assistant app features best buy tables and a range of mortgage calculators to help borrowers judge monthly mortgage costs, the impact of rate changes and the effect of overpaying. The app also incorporates the L&C one minute mortgage check to show borrowers whether they could save money on their mortgage by checking their current mortgage with the rest of the market. The app is free through the App Store and has already received more than 4000 downloads. David Hollingworth, head of communications for London & Country, said: "This application provides a wealth of information and easy to use mortgage tools, putting it all at our customers' fingertips."
