WAY Group unveils Green Fund microsite to mark beginning of National Ethical Investment Week
09 November 2010
As National Ethical Investment Week (NEIW) gets underway today, UK-based WAY Group has unveiled its WAY Green Portfolio Fund microsite. The site, on offshoot of the central WAY Group website, is dedicated to the Green Portfolio Fund, the first fund of funds on the market that concentrates on climate change investments. WAY Group Marketing Director, Eddie O’Gorman, said that, “ awareness of climate change effects has been steadily increasing but now people are really beginning to understand the investment potential for those companies who are involved in combating these effects” “We are fortunate enough to have teamed up with experienced fund managers Vestra Wealth LLP, to provide a gateway for retail investors to the best funds available in the climate change sector, he said. “The WAY Green Portfolio Fund site complements the values of NEIW well and so it is fitting it should be launched at the beginning of NEIW 2010.” NEIW is a campaign to ensure that everyone knows that they have green and ethical options when it comes to their finance and investment decisions, allowing investors to make money and a difference. Each underlying investment in the WAY Green Portfolio Fund goes through a unique 3-screen process to ensure that it is complementary to the fund mandate, which also utilises the skills of Ethical Screening. “This fund of funds is ideally placed to harness the potential of the theme mix and moderate the single focus volatility through active portfolio management,” O’Gorman said. WAY Group has also been short-listed in the ‘Best New Entrant’ category at this year’s Climate Change Awards for the launch of the WAY Green Portfolio Fund; the UK’s first fund of funds to concentrate solely on climate change investments. “We are very excited to be short-listed in our category and would like to congratulate all the other management groups who have been short-listed and for raising the profile of this important investment sector” added O’Gorman.Click below to download the full press release
