RCM, the global asset manager within Allianz Global Investors, has appointed Melissa Gallagher as Director, Head of Investment Trusts. Melissa is based in RCM's London office and will be responsible for Board and investor relations as well as business development for RCM's range of investment trusts. Melissa was most recently the Head of Investment Trusts at Gartmore Investment Management where she worked for ten years. Prior to this she was an Account Manager for Institutional Pensions Funds at Merrill Lynch Investment Managers (now BlackRock Asset Management). Melissa Gallagher comments: "I am excited to be a part of RCM's Investment Trusts team. With RDR on the horizon, there should be an increased focus on investment trusts in the retail space in particular and we believe we are in a strong position to leverage this opportunity."
