21 January 2026

The Black Mortgage Professionals and Allies Network (BMPAN) has opened registration to all for its fifth networking event, which will take place at 17.15 on Wednesday 11 February 2026 at HSBC’s Canary Wharf headquarters in London.

The event, hosted by HSBC Bank UK, brings together mortgage and wider financial services professionals for an evening of discussion, insight and networking.

Register here to secure your place: https://forms.gle/VU6kbjLkp7TaGNWDA or visit the website: www.bmpan.online. Places are limited and interest is expected to be strong.

The event supports BMPAN’s mission to increase visibility, opportunity and progression for Black professionals across the mortgage and financial services industry. By bringing together industry leaders, allies and emerging talent, BMPAN helps to amplify voices, challenge underrepresentation and support pathways into senior, influential and high-profile roles across the sector.

The theme for the evening is: Visibility and opportunity by design – beyond the job title.

The chaired panel session will focus on how professionals can build visibility and access opportunity in a considered way, without losing authenticity or professional integrity. Discussion will cover confidence, reputation, personal presence, and the realities of being seen and heard in a competitive sector.

An audience Q&A and structured networking follows the panel session.

Confirmed speakers, include:

  • Shauna Roper, HSBC
  • Ebenezer Bolatiwa, HSBC
  • Rosalia Lazzara, Manuka Media
  • Nana Agyemang, Barclays
  • Shiloh Robertson, Pepper Money
  • Julia Ama, Market Financial Solutions
  • Paul Watts, Lenuity

Atlyn Forde, Co-founder of BMPAN, said:

“Reaching our fifth event is an important point for BMPAN. We have grown quickly, but with purpose. Our focus has been on building trust, strong partnerships and practical value for members. This event reflects the progress we have made and the standards we want to set for how inclusive networks show up in this industry.”

Jeffrey Krampah-Williams, Co-founder of BMPAN, added:

“This session is designed to be honest and useful. Visibility is often talked about, but not always explained in a way that feels real. The speakers will share lived experience and clear lessons that people can take back into their day jobs and careers.”

Aleka Gutzmore, Co-founder of BMPAN, said:

“This event is also about what comes next. BMPAN will continue to expand its role in supporting talent, opening doors and raising the profile of our networking community. We want to see more diverse voices on panels, recognised through awards, and stepping into senior leadership roles across financial services.”

Since launch, the network has built a growing community of over 500 financial services professionals, delivering a series of well-attended events hosted by leading organisations across the sector.

Media, event and sponsorship opportunities are available. Interested organisations are encouraged to contact the co-founders Atlyn Forde, Aleka Guzmore or Jeffrey Krampah-Williams to discuss further.
